Overview
Perched on a hillside above Orvieto, this lovely 14th century farmhouse is surrounded by acres of olive groves and meadows, with beautiful views of Orvieto on one side and rolling farmlands on the other. Recently restored, the main house on one level has been fitted with air conditioned bedrooms, new kitchens and bathrooms while retaining their old terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. A large dining loggia for al fresco meals enjoying beautiful views of the countryside and of the city of Orvieto. The swimming pool is set a few steps below the loggia on a broad stone terrace furnished with loungers and umbrellas. In the heart of the Orvieto Classico region, this area has much to offer anyone who enjoys good food and wine, interesting sightseeing and long rambles on foot or on horseback.

On a beautiful, winding road between Orvieto, 3km/2 miles from the property, and Porano, 2km/1.5 miles. Both are dramatically located on hilltops: Orvieto is by far the larger, with plenty of shops around its base and great restaurants - and a gorgeous, striped Duomo - on top; Porano is charming and virtually unknown, boasting a fortress, a weekly market, a bank, a few shops, a handful of restaurants and bars, and public tennis courts. Bolsena and Montefiascone, in Lazio, can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Todi is about an hour's drive.
