Il Regno di Sicilia
Sicily has such a lot to offer: visitors can travel from ancient Greek and Roman ruins to medieval castles and enjoying the rugged beauty of the mountainous terrain. One of the must-see sights in Sicily is Europe’s largest active volcano, Mount Etna. With an elevation of nearly 11,000 feet (the exact height changes from time to time, varying with the volcanic activity), Etna is more than double the size of the better-known Mount Vesuvius. Besides, Sicily is Italy’s largest region and is very mountainous. Its Mediterranean climate tends to mean warm, wet winters and hot, dry summers. One of the most distinctive characteristics of Sicily is its cuisine, which draws from many different sources from various times as the island has changed hands many times in its three thousand year history.
The prevalence of the use of citrus in Sicily’s cooking is evidence of its Arab influence from the 10th century, for example. Many vacationers that book our villas in Sicily find that experiencing first hand Sicily’s cuisine was a highlight of their stay. Renting Sicily villas is an unique way to soak in all this history and culture.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Il Cucco. We had 18 people and with out reservation we had the best of times and would return. Sergio and his wife created some of the best food we had in Sicily each night and the "restaurant room" sat 18 easily. The pool and grounds were exceptional with the large palm trees and all was very well maintained.. 5 out of 5 to Tuscany Now staff.

The nearest supermarket complex was about a 10 minute drive away and was excellent. There were not many shops in the local village. It was the owner's home so it was beautifully furnished, had everything you needed, and was wonderfully comfortable.
