Sleeps 6 | Bedrooms 3 | Bathrooms 2 | South of Orvieto, Umbria

Independent villa | Private pool | Air conditioned bedrooms | Maid included |

Overview

Val di Coreto is a charming stone farmhouse set on a hill that literally rises in Umbria and falls in Lazio. The location is exceptional, with wonderful walking trails and easy access by car to the great historic wine centres of two regions, Orvieto in Umbria and Montefiascone in Lazio. This beautifully restored house is decorated in a simple but elegant rustic style, air-conditioned bedrooms, in keeping with the original beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The views are lovely, covering woodlands, olive groves and calanche - limestone cliffs. A small swimming pool is set in the garden and a pretty dining loggia off the kitchen provides the perfect setting for al fresco meals. Nearby Civitella di Bagnoregio is an extraordinarily picturesque half-ruined village that can only be reached over a dramatic footbridge.

Clients reviews

This wonderful villa has everything needed to restore calm in very stressful lives! The setting is fabulous and very convenient for visiting the incredibly beautiful surrounding areas. The friendliness of Fabrizio and Aldo made us feel safe and welcome. Our confidence in Tuscany Now bookings grows year on year.

Loved its location and serenity and views, the house was well equipped and felt like home. The owner Fabrizio and his Father were very welcoming and helpful when needed. The house was beautifully clean and huge. White towels are always a bonus! The shops were only 10-15 minutes away and more than adequate. Lovely towns nearby. We keep coming back to tuscany Now because we have always received the best service so a 5 out of 5 from us.

We loved everything about this villa from the seclusion, to the views, to the garden and pool. The villa is ideally located for exploring Umbria. Add Bolsena Lake as a must visit location from this villa, it's only a short drive. Local services were extremely good, shopping at the local Spar and the restaurants were superb.

The villa and grounds are well cared for and remote so that we could truly "get away from it all". The swimming pool was great.

The location was great, away from everywhere, great views. The Villa itself was well equipped and nicely furnished, more than matched our expectations. It certainly is a little piece of paradise.

The accommodation was excellent, with a superb pool. It was a quiet location with no near neighbours. The house was in very good condition and the grounds very well maintained, on a daily basis. Our only minor query, was on the road to the property, which was very rough and would need to be better explained in your promotional literature. It is at least half a mile off the minor road, and the distance from the village of Bagnoregio is at least 3.5. kilometres. Overall an excellent holiday which all six of us thoroughly enjoyed.

The location and view were ideal for us as was the proximity to shops, restaurants, and the surrounding medieval towns. The attentiveness of Fabrizio Ferretti to our needs was very much appreciated. Anita the lady who cleaned the house twice a week did an excellent job.

We particularly liked the amount of land that surrounded the property - we couldn't quite believe that we had our own private field, wood, olive grove and fruit orchards to play in - not to mention the lawned areas. We also loved the breathtaking views

Views, countryside, not near anyone, lovely living space, very clean bathrooms.. the pictures in the brochure didn't do the villa justice as it was much better than it seemed. very good - will use again next year
