Overview
This beautiful late 18th century villa sits behind a pair of old gates on the edge of a tiny village just above where one of the most magnificent classical villas of Italy is found, Il Cenobbio. Set in the hills between Greve and Panzano in Chianti; the views from the house and its grounds are breathtaking, hills dotted with farmhouses, olive groves, vineyards and the Etruscan village of Panzano sitting as a silhouette against the skyline. The villa offers high ceilings which guarantee cool rooms, wonderful sitting rooms both on the ground floor and first floor, spacious bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The infinity pool is set below the villa within the gated garden surrounded by lush green lawns. The number of towns and villages to visit is too long to list; this is the heart of the Chianti Classico, one of the most beautiful spots in the world. A must is to visit the nearby "Cenobbio" where Mona Lisa was born, where allegedly the word "Chianti" was first used and more recently the film "Much ado about nothing” was filmed.
