Overview

Vaggio Savernano is a rambling three hundred-year-old farmhouse which has been restored and renovated to a very high standard. Terracotta or tiled floors and beamed ceilings set the tone for an extremely comfortable residence equipped with all the modern amenities, which make Vaggio Savernano one of our most welcoming villas. The large, air-conditioned rooms are furnished in a tasteful blend of Italian and English antiques, while ping-pong and billiards tables provide rainy-day diversions. A beautifully maintained garden of lawns, rock gardens and terraces surrounds the house and ensures complete privacy. Views of the Val d’Arno are best from the large swimming pool and pool house, where loungers and umbrellas beckon you to relax. A spacious loggia with a barbeque provides an ideal spot for alfresco dining.

Rental option notes

 The guest house is not available and closed for this rental option. Note that it shall not be used by anyone.

Location

 In a pretty, rural area midway between Florence and Arezzo, both 45 minutes' drive. The nearest shops and tennis courts are at Pian di Scò, 3 km/2 miles, with a better selection at Reggello, 5km/3 miles. Keen walkers will enjoy the Pratomagno hills near the Vallombrosa Abbey, and the protected Casentino area. Across the Valdarno to the west is the Chianti wine-producing region; perhaps the best place to begin is Gaiole, 45 minutes, with a tasting session at the cooperativo. Incisa Valdarno, 15 minutes, offers a range of designer factory outlets.

Pool with comfortable outdoor furniture and a ping pong table, changing room with WC and shower.

Pool details
