Overview
Torre La Cupa has been growing, room by room, since the 14th century. Originally constructed as a lookout tower, the building later came into use as a colonica, a farmhouse, and each successive generation of farmers added on space as needed. The result is a charming country home full of unexpected corners and pleasant for both small and large parties. Inside its thick stone walls the book-filled rooms have preserved their beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, and have been very tastefully decorated in a warm and welcoming style. A pretty flagstone courtyard outside the kitchen is furnished with a dining table for al fresco meals. Beautiful views of the hills around Lake Corbara, between Orvieto and Todi, can be seen from the windows, the garden and the lovely pool area set at the edge of the garden.
