Overview

Some villas just have something special about them, Podere Brogi has just that. You cross a private bridge and follow a short drive that winds up the hill ending under large oak trees where the garden starts and leads you across to the wonderful restored farmhouse and guest house. It’s positioned perfectly, with a line of cypress trees defining the edge of the sweeping lawns and garden enjoying beautiful views of the countryside and of the small village of Caposelvi that sits illuminated at night on the other side of the small valley. The large solar heated, infinity-edge and gated swimming pool [kept at 26 degrees celsius] with hydro massage is set on proportionately large lawned terrace just below the home, enjoying the same magical views. At one end of the pool is a charming loggia, at the other end is a spacious paved terrace fitted with umbrellas and an outside seating area, with steps leading up to the lawn where a shaded dining area has been installed just outside the kitchen. The interior is as impressive, antique terracotta floors, beamed or arched ceilings, where in the kitchen, pantry and cantina they have fitted a wonderful antique wooden floor. The bedrooms are spacious, with beamed ceilings of course all with contemporary ensuite bathrooms andfully air-condtioned. The kitchen has a professional magnetic induction cooker with everything a pro cook could ask for. The whole property is managed by green power; solar energy runs both the electrics as the water. The same ecological principles reign in the garden as in the olive groves and vineyards.

Clients reviews

Podere Brogi was a perfect blend of Italian character and moderness for our two families travelling together. Inside and out there was plenty of space for us to relax together and also plenty of cozy/small space to have time alone, if you so desired. The bedrooms were all large and very nice with updated bathrooms and amenities. The kitchen was perfect for our cooking class for 10! The outdoor space allowed us to take walks/runs and explore. The kids found clay while walking the property one day, they came back and made pots and a cross with it. Anna Brogi kindly helped to bake them first in the indoor oven and finished them in the outdoor pizza oven so the kids could take their art home. The Brogi family are amazing hosts, I really can't say enough. Walter, Anna, Christina & Cosimo went above and beyond in not only advising things for us to do & see, but many times took us there personally. They were our local tour guides and we felt as if they were friends by the time we left.

I've been meaning to write a review of my experience while staying at the Poderi Brogi September - October 2013. This property that I, my friends and their family stayed at was unbelievably amazing! I won't forget when we first arrived in Italy late at night and picked up our car rental, we were driving around exhausted and lost. We ended up calling Walter, one of our Podere hosts, and he actually came to meet and get us around 2:00 a.m. We followed him back to the villa and what awaited us-even at 2:00 am in the morning, was breathtaking. Walter and his wife Anna had the entire house showcased beautifully, lit and adorned with candles-the ambiance was overwhelming. Each room of the villa was decorated in Italian authenticity, perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The outdoor space was just as luxurious-with views overlooking the vineyard cascading down the hillside, with the small sleepy town of Caposelvi in the distance. Christina was an amazing host as well with her ability to guide us through our daily travels and adventures, to restaurant recommendations. We celebrated 2 special occasions during our stay; Walter and Christina and their team/family of chefs prepared the most delicious food courses imaginable. We dined and celebrated the way the Romans must have, and I won't ever forget their generosity and kindness. Even now I look back on my photos and smile intently on the memories we created there and I cannot imagine another vacation being like this, having the bar set so high. I fully recommend this Villa with the utmost praise and sincerity. From Katy Tabler and Matt Finnell (the man I fell in love with while vacationing there)!

We just arrived back to Los Angeles last night, and less than 12 hours ago, but we could not wait to let you know how delighted we have been with our week vacation at the Podere Brogi villa. Our stay was one of the most enjoyable experiences in over 20 years of vacationing all over the world. The location was ideal. Right in the centre of a triangle between Florence, Siena and Arezzo. The villa itself had all the amenities you could dream of: Spacious, clean, Furnished with great taste, and so comfortable. Each bedroom had its own flavour and was so well designed. The pool area was out of vacation magazines. The vineyards and hills all around completed the dream scenery. But the jewel on the crown were the owners: Walter, Christina and Anna did everything humanly possible to satisfy , and even anticipate our needs. We have never seen so much warmth, attention and dedication. Our group was not easy, since it had people in their sixties and some teen agers but everyone was thrilled. The diners they prepared for us and the Pizza party we had using their outdoor Pizza oven were great and so much fun. We will never forget this experience and wish to everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy the Podere Brogi as we did. By the way, we need to add one note about Deborah, the lady who prepared the breakfast for us every morning, She is a great cook and so nice ! Highly recommend to take advantage of that option. Her omelette with Zucchinis was to die for. All the best and Thanks again.

The Location and standard of the property was by far the best we have stayed in, we had an evening meal cooked for us which was excellent but it was made by the attention of our hosts Walter, Cristina and Anna. First time we have used you but an excellent service and it seems you really care about the experience you give and also importantly the feedback from our Hosts was very positive towards your company.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. The property was beautiful and restful. Walter, Anna and Christina made sure we had great restaurant recommendations and helped us with itineraries to visit some of the key towns and regions in Tuscany. It was a lovely week.

Our stay at Podere Brogi and the process of booking with Tuscany Now was amazing! The booking agents were knowledgeable and helpful; and the owners/caretakers were such gracious hosts. As an example, an email coming in asking if our baby was a boy/girl so they could put the appropriately designed sheets. All this set the tone for a truly relaxing vacation. A stay at a villa (vs. a hotel) is perfect when travelling with young children and when booking a vacation to reconnect with family and friends. The place was impeccable - from the rooms, to the kitchen to the pool.. and of course the gorgeous views! The nearby Prada outlet was also a nice perk. The icing on top was the ability to have a cook come in makes it a true alternative to a hotel. Basically the convenience of a lovely home with the perks of a luxury hotel. Thank you Walter and Cristina, and Tuscany Now, for such a memorable vacation. We hope to come back!

Staying at Podere Brogi was a unique experience. The villa has every feature you could possibly require, multiple living spaces and an amazing infinity pool overlooking the village if Caposelvi. Our hosts, Walter, Cristina and Anna welcomed us like old friends, catered to any need we had and ensured our experience was amazing. We will be returning with our family and friends.
