Overview

Recently rebuilt from the ruins of an 18th century farmhouse, Il Grannaio and its adjacent guest house form an exceptionally comfortable country retreat in a setting that lends itself to a perfectly relaxing, get-away-from-it-all holiday. From the superbly equipped fitted kitchen to the stone walls of the billiards and game rooms, the two houses combine Tuscan charm and style with very high quality finishes and the latest in conveniences. Terracotta floors and beamed ceilings are complemented by lovely, whimsical antiques and soft contemporary pieces while the air-conditioned bedrooms in the main house [available from 2015 only]. Two gazebos for dining and lounging extend the living areas into the garden, where a private pool is set into a sunny terrace surrounded by trees and rolling fields. Situated in the Pisan hills, the property is surrounded by lovely little villages that seldom appear on tourist maps. Between the villages are the vineyards of the Chianti delle Colline Pisane.

Excellent value, we had dinner prepared for us and it was delicious homemade italian food. And excellent service at TN and I will be using you again and will be recommending you to friends.

What a surreal privilege to experience this beautifully appointed villa nestled into the enchanting backdrop of the Tuscan countryside. Franco prepared two delicious meals for my family and I (her tiramisu and crostata are sublime), and our only regret is that we did not engage her for more. Paulo and Franco went well beyond our expectations making this holiday a special one indeed! Overall experience with Tuscany Now demonstrated the company's trustworthiness in accurately depicting it's property's. The engaging of the property was smooth and hence, easy process.

Il Granaio is a beautifully restored house and guest house and the surroundings are very scenic. Our group included 16 people - ages 3 to 77 - and it was a comfortable stay for all of us! There were plenty of activities for all, including the beautiful pool, pool table, chess table, and bocce ball court. Paolo was very helpful and the meals prepared were excellent.

Il Granaio was a spectacular villa. 15 friends spent a glorious week here in mid-June. The long, windy dirt road leading to the villa was worth the trip. Once we entered the gates of the villa, it was like entering Oz. The furnishings and decor was magnificent, the kitchen was a true chef's haven, the pool and bocce court were a perfect respite to a day of touring towns, the neighbouring village of Peccioli was full of warmth and history. I would recommend this villa and Tuscany Now to anyone.

Il Granaio was more than we could have hoped for. There were 9 adults and we all found everything amazing. I have been recommending Tuscany Now to my friends. Again a 5 out of 5. Paolo was an amazing caretaker and Franca (I believe that was her name) a fabulous cook. We had 2 fabulous dinners prepared by them. I would certainly schedule more dinners in our next visit. Paolo also helped us plan a visit to a winery and his recommendation was fantastic! Probably the highlight to our Tuscany vacation.

Everything was lovely - we have already told many friends about it! Usually pictures portray the property better than it actually is. This property was even better than the pictures. 5 out of 5 for Tuscany Now my group was very pleased!

Beautifully well appointed and decorated. All the rooms were exceptionally clean, good sizes and well decorated. The caretakers, Monika and Paulo were brilliant, we couldn't have asked for more. Really helpful, great food. Just lovely lovely people. We very much hope to use Tuscany Now again as we all had such a fabulous time.

Secluded, picturesque scenery, beautifully renovated house, superior fixtures and fittings, ideal accommodation for our group, large swimming pool, and reasonable near all the sights we wished to see. Paulo was polite, very friendly extremely helpful and informative but not intrusive, a difficult balance to achieve. The housekeeping staff were cheerful, diligent, and provided a delicious welcome dinner. Thank you all.

We enjoyed the location, the design and quality - pretty much everything. Everyone we met were very helpful indeed, the immediate area is awash with superb eating venues run by genuine people who care about what they serve and where they serve it. D.Pinnegar 2011

Il Granaio was sensational; superlative; incredible. Hard to believe that there could be a better villa in all of Italy. The women were spectacular in their meal services and everything else. The weather cooperated in Tuscany and for our four days in Rome, Can't imagine a better trip All the kids and grand kids were wild about the accomodations

We were all very impressed how the architecture was maintained but the interior fixtures and fitting brought up to a luxurious standard. It was also very well appointed with all the conveniences we could ask for. The surrounding area was also very picturesque and relaxing. I should also mention that Monika the caretaker was first rate -can't say enough good things about her!

Rooms and bathrooms were exquisite, but the outdoor dining area was the gem of the experience. So much more lush and landscape than the pictures---but Monika the caretaker was a goddess. Waking up to falcons, pheasants, frogs and that glorious Tuscan light every morning? Divine. Don't even get me started on the local farmer's wine. Perfection....
