A small winding road leaving Florence and heading into the surrounding hills brings you to this charming property. The private gates open onto a wonderfully kept garden made of lawns and flower beds with manicured olive trees. "I Suini" once a barn has been converted into a sophisticated guest house to the Villa, set further up the hill, with stunning views of the Florentine countryside dotted with vineyards. The private pool is set just below the guest house and is for the private use of the renters. The owner who lives abroad, if in residence refrains from using the pool. The furnishings and fitting are of the highest level, no monies were spared in the restoration of the old barn. This is the perfect location from which to visit and enjoy Florence. The city centre is just 9km away, a quick and cheap taxi ride and you are in Piazza della Signoria sipping a glass of wine or dining al fresco.

Location

 Set in the hills south east of Florence, Bagno a Ripoli 1km/600 yards offers a wide selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Florence city centre can be easily reached by bus, about 7km/4 miles, with an array of sights such as the Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo not to mention the Duomo. Further afield Impruneta, 13km/8 miles, also boasts a good selection of shops and a weekly market.

 The fenced grounds with private swimming pool, 6 x 12m/19 x 18 feet, is set just below the guest house with well kept lawns, flower beds and olive trees. Pergola. Stunning views of rolling hills. Pool house with changing room.

Assistance

 Assistance is provided locally by the very helpful non English speaking caretaker who lives in a separate property on the estate. Services included in the rental fee, and optional services available, are noted under Price and Availability.

 Airports: Florence, 30 minutes; Pisa, about 1 hour. Bus stop, 2km/1 mile, with a 20-minute ride to the centre of Florence. Motorway exit at Firenze-Sud, 3km/2 miles along paved roads to the property’s gates. Parking for two cars.

 Horse riding about 1km/600yards. Tennis courts at Ponte a Ema, 3km/2 miles. 18-hole golf course Poggio Ugolino at Impruneta, 7km/4 miles.
