Overview

I Corbezzoli, a large stone farmhouse and guest house fully restored by its current owners with devotion, has been transformed into a luxury country retreat. Set at the end of a private road, perched on a hilltop with stunning views of the vineyards, olive groves and woodland of the Valdarno, south of Florence and to the east of Chianti. Furnished to a very high standard with a professional kitchen, great living areas, large air conditioned bedrooms with modern ensuite bathrooms, the majority with Jacuzzi baths. The extensive lawns are laced with a variety of flowers, sloping down to the fan-shaped swimming pool with a heated Jacuzzi and a paved terrace furnished for sunbathing.
Situated at the eastern edge of the Chianti wine-producing area, and midway between Florence and Arezzo, the property could not be better designed and located for a holiday that combines lazy days of dolce far niente with sightseeing in some of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany.

Location

 In an area known for its food and wine, not to mention splendid scenery. Montegonzi, 2km/1.5 miles, has the nearest food shop although Cavriglia, 8km/5 miles, has a better selection - and an excellent restaurant. From here a beautiful road leads into Chianti - Radda-in-Chianti is a 20-minute drive. Not to be missed is the Thursday morning market at Montevarchi, 12km/8 miles. Florence and Arezzo, a beautiful city with a famous antiques market, are both reached in 45 minutes. The monasteries, castles and characteristic medieval villages in the area are interesting destinations for excursions.

 The two houses are surrounded by a large grass lawn full of colourful blooming shrubs and natural flagstone compositions. The extensive lawn leads down towards a lovely private fan-shaped swimming pool, 14x7m/46x23 feet with a heated Jacuzzi [for up to six people] and a paved terrace for sunbathing. From here you can enjoy wonderful views of the Valdarno valley and the mountains of Pratomagno.

Pool Details

Staffing and Services included in the rental

 Breakfast, lunch or dinner; the flexible staff can cater for your meals, dietary requirements and meal times as required by you. The shopping, organising of the menus, laying of the table, serving, clearing of the table and cleaning of the kitchen and waiter service are included in the rental rate. Food and beverages are not included and are to be paid separately on location on presentation of receipts.

- Wine is purchased at a local cantina which have a wide and sophisticated variety of wines from the Tuscany region which can organise wine-tasting. For further details please see extra services available. However guests may want to buy a different wine and may do so by themselves and inform the cook not to purchase any. All meat is bought from local organic farm. No OGM. Suffers of allergies or vegetarians can be catered for.
