Overview

Casa Tara is an extremely welcoming house set on a hill top enjoying sweeping views from its sun baked terraces. The old farmhouse and its barn were restored and converted into a very comfortable home set in a great location to explore the very core of Tuscany. Large French doors lead out into the garden, where a large table seating 18 in comfort sits in the shade. The swimming pool is set on a lawned terrace just below the main house next to the guest house that has a second shaded dining area. Lots of space spells bliss for large groups, you are never going to be on top of each other here. The furnishing are of a high level, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, you even have a grand piano in the living room. The bedrooms are spacious, with beautiful beamed ceilings. All in all this is a great venue for a large family reunion or for a group of friends that want to be together but with enough space to give some privacy to those needing it. There is also a private tennis court hidden in an angle of the garden.

Location

 The nearby village of Ortimino, 2km/1 mile, boasts a food shop and bakery. A wider selection of shops, bars and restaurants can be found at Montespertoli, 7km/4 miles. South west lies San Gimignano, 22km/14 miles while Florence can be easily reached, about 42km/ 26 miles. Days trips include many hilltop villages in Chianti include Castellina and Greve in Chianti with Siena further afield, about 1 hours’ drive.
