Overview
This is the third property that the owner of Sant’Anna has restored and the result is fantastic. A huge amount of creativity and knowledge was used to transform, an abandoned farmhouse incorporating a 14th century priest house into, what has to be one our most comfortable villas. An open plan ground floor, with a fantastic kitchen flows out into the charming garden through the extensive use of glass. The interior is bathed in light; air-conditioned bedrooms on the first floor ensure that the rooms remain cool in the hot summer months. There is a breakfast area off the kitchen, a sophisticated dining room, and a shaded loggia facing the valley, overlooking the pool for dining al fresco. On the first floor, is the wonderfully furnished living room with a balcony, overlooking the breakfast area and a Bechstein grand piano. The villa is set just below a small hamlet, facing south, enjoying very pretty views of the unspoilt countryside, just minutes from the walled village of Monterchi, where the famous “Madonna del Parto” al fresco by Piero Della Francesca resides.
