Overview
This stunning property sits undisturbed in some of the most beautiful hills of Tuscany enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding hills with a clear view of the city of Siena.
A beautiful drive with trimmed hedges and five hundred year old cypress trees leads up to the sixteenth century farmhouse that is nestled on a soft hilltop surrounded by a pretty garden, its own vineyards and olive groves.
The property consists of three beautiful stone buildings of which Villa Teucrium is the main structure. The tower will not be rented and will not be occupied by anyone during the stay of guests and the guest house set at the rear of the garden is for the use of the very helpful resident caretakers.
Well kept lawns flow around the main house creating different areas in which to enjoy this splendid home. There is a charming loggia facing the courtyard where the swimming pool is found with sofas and an outdoor dining area.
Villa Teucrium, owned by one of Italy’s most renowned architects was lovingly restored and converted it into their own private residence. The essence of simplicity of a Tuscan farmhouse has been maintained with lots of open and unfurnished spaces but finished to a very high quality. Owing to the beauty of both house and garden, this property has appeared in many major international magazines and, It was also chosen by Bernardo Bertolucci for an important sequence in his film “Stealing Beauty”. |
