Shops and restaurants in Quarrata; Pistoia, 15km/9 miles, also has a very nice centro storico. Leonardo da Vinci was born at Vinci, 30 minutes, which has a museum in his honour, Thermal baths at Montecatini Terme, 30 minutes. Florence, Pisa and Siena, about 45 minutes.
