Florence, to the north, is within driving distance, 20 minutes outside rush hour, but there’s an excellent choice of restaurants and shops closer at hand in Impruneta, 8km/5 miles. The Chianti Classico region is just beyond, with Greve-in-Chianti a beautiful 30-minute drive down the Chiantigiana wine road.
