Overview
Set at the edge of a hamlet overlooking Florence, the Villa Giotto is a very stylish and beautifully restored country home that simply could not be better located for exploring the city and the Chianti Classico region. The villa’s whitewashed walls and comfortable white furnishings provide a sparkling contrast to the old beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and carved doorways. A lovely, large and well-equipped kitchen with a long marble table offers a casual alternative to the elegant dining room. The ground floor living areas are flooded with light through French doors that open to the garden or to one of the beautiful, vine-smothered loggias that serve as outdoor dining and sitting rooms. Just beyond the loggias, a private pool attended by loungers and sunbeds offers a lazy alternative to sightseeing. In spite of the villa’s rural setting and spectacular views, there is a restaurant and a little food shop within walking distance and an endless choice of villages to explore nearby.
