Overview From a private hilltop, Villa Doveri and its outbuildings gaze westwards over vineyards and olive groves towards the sea. Some ten acres of the vines and olives are the villa's own property, and surround the smooth lawns that nearly encircle the house itself. Villa Doveri combines all the benefits of a modern building with the charm of a traditional farmhouse. The nicely decorated interiors of the main residence and its little guest house for two are brightened by large windows and, on the lower floors, openings to the garden or a loggia. A well kept lawn leads down to a large pool set on a paved terrace with lovely views. Suvereto lies within the Val di Cornia wine-producing area and at the south end of a long series of 'wine roads', the Strada del Vino degli Etruschi, that follows the coast up to Livorno and includes several of the 'Super-Tuscan' wineries - as well as some very pretty medieval villages.
