Overview
Villa Denise is a very pretty villa hidden away in its own lush valley north of medieval Lucca, reached by a private road that winds up hill through the property's woods and olive groves. The house is comfortably furnished in the local country style with a sprinkling of antiques and air conditioning throughout the first floor. A large garden with a well-kept lawn leads to a salt water swimming pool with a whirlpool area. The pool terrace is amply supplied with garden furniture and, like the house itself, faces southwards with a lovely view over the hills. Shady outdoor seating is provided under two loggias, the larger of which is equipped with a built-in barbeque for al fresco meals. Organic red and white wines along with olive oil are also produced on the estate which can be purchased locally. For all its privacy, the villa is a very short drive from shops and restaurants, and within twenty minutes of both Lucca and the white beaches of Versilia. |
