Overview
Villa De Lanfranchi is a flamboyant 18th century villa, a national monument, set in private grounds in a village within walking distance of the centre, at the base of the hills that separate Lucca and Pisa. The Tuscan coastline with white sandy beaches is easily reached by car. San Giuliano Terme, a short drive away, famous for its thermal spas is in a delightful setting for those looking to be pampered. Immersed in a private fenced park a copse of trees veils the front while the rear has a well maintained lawn with a large private swimming pool, gazebo and summer kitchen. The conservatory has an array of botanical and tropical plants, looking out onto the private pool, while the protected botanical park has trees and various species some of which over 400 hundred years old. Large rooms with high frescoed ceilings set the tone to this wonderful eclectic blend of styles, quite unique amongst our selection of villas, the owner being a passionate collector of objets d’art. Several living rooms, a games room with a billiard table, spacious bedrooms with high ceilings, ideal for those hot summer nights, and modern bathrooms in keep with the villas charm and character all offer the idyllic setting for a family reunion or a gathering of friends to relax and unwind in a tranquil ambiance. Extensive library and film collection with over 6000 titles perfect for those rainy days. Torre del Lago, about 30 minutes, site of the annual Puccini festival with a variety of hilltop towns and villages to explore in the vicinity. |
