I have been telling everyone that in fact, the reality was better than the pictures - which never happens! The location on the top of the mountain with the huge terrace and pool overlooking the valley and mountains beyond were sublime. I am definitely going to go back.

The pictures on the site just don't do Villa Atena justice. The villa was beautiful, wonderfully spacious, furnished and decorated very tastefully and the views from the amazing terrace were stunning. The pool is fabulous and again has the most beautiful views. Didn't think it would be possible to find somewhere so perfect and unspoilt. We'll definitely be back next year.

we liked the set up of the house, patios and pool area enabled a large group (11) to be easily accomodated without treading on each others' toes and yet had great spaces (dining room and massive back patio) for us all to come together for apperitivo and dinners. I don't think there was ever a wait for the bathroom! The views were sublime.

Villa Atena had fantastic views, was spacious and had several areas where we could gather and hang out. The caretakers were attentive yet respected our privacy. The villa was very clean, had fully stocked kitchens, and even had washing machines.

Lots of space, lovely countryside, beautiful, well-equipped house, helpful caretakers. We enjoyed gathering for a glass of chianti on the terrace, dining in the Hunter's Lodge, swimming, and playing billards. Everyone in our party agreed that the property was magnificent!

Absolutely beautiful home and Cristina and her family were amazing. Everything you see online is exactly as it is. We had 18 of us celebrating our wedding and it could not have been more perfect. The bedrooms are big, the bathrooms are larger than normal, very clean, and plenty of space for everyone. Location was great for day trips. The view was amazing.
