Nearest shops at Querce al Pino, 1.5kms/1 mile, Po' Bandino [open on Sunday mornings], 8km/5 miles. Chiusi, 4km/3 miles from the property, is a funny little hilltop village that literally straddles the Tuscan-Umbrian border and boasts an Etruscan museum and a Duomo decorated in faux mosaic. Most villages in this farming area sit on hilltops; among the larger are Cetona, Citta delle Pieve and Montepulciano, all within 20 minutes' drive. Castiglione del Lago on Lake Trasimeno and Orvieto, are both less than 30 minutes away. Siena can be reached within 1 hours' drive.

A very nicely maintained terraced garden with a rockery, clipped hedges and tall cypresses clustered around the villa. A pretty outdoor dining area is tucked under the trees to one side. The elegant swimming pool, 7 x 14m/23 x 46 feet, is set one terrace lower than the villa, about 30m/100 feet away and down a flight of steps.

Assistance is provided locally by the property's very kind offsite caretaker, who speaks a little English. Services included in the rental fee, and optional services available, are noted under Price and Availability.
