If one were asked to choose the region of Tuscany producing the best wine and the best food, it could well be here. Add a string of art-filled medieval towns to the mix, a handful of world-renowned thermal spas and an impossibly beautiful landscape, and there you have the setting for the gracious Villa Astori. Newly renovated from top to bottom, the villa sits on a hilltop with a terraced garden unfolding below. A vast sitting room occupies a large part of the ground floor, together with a kitchen designed to please the most discriminating cook. The bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, adjoin smaller living areas on the upper floors.
