Location
In a lovely pocket of northern Lazio just south of Orvieto, 20 minutes, and east of Lake Bolsena, 30 minutes. The nearest shops are at Castiglione in Teverina or Lubriano, 5km/3 miles. Lots to see in the area: the Parco dei Mostri at Bomarzo, the 'dying village' at Civita Bagnoregio, the Villa Lante at Bagnaia. Bolsena, 30 minutes; Todi and Viterbo, 40 minutes.

Ground floor

Upper ground floor
Up seven steps to a 3000-year old Etruscan cave. Very well equipped kitchen with top quality appliances, a fireplace and a breakfast table for four leading out to a terrace. Bathroom with shower. Sitting room with a twin bedroom on an interior balcony.
Lower ground floor
Sitting room. Loggia with table and chairs. Double bedroom with a glass door opening into the garden. Bathroom with bath.
Grounds
Within 3ha/7 acres of land, a hillside garden sprinkled with sculptures, fountains and caves that can be lit at night. A path leads down the small pool, 4 x 5m/13 x 16 feet, set on a terracotta terrace with splendid views.
Assistance
