To the north-west, historic Colle di Val d’Elsa is on the way to San Gimignano, 40 minutes. To the north-east lies Castellina-in-Chianti, 35 minutes, at the centre of the Classico region. Two abbeys with walking trails, Monte Oliveto Maggiore and San Galgano, are 1 hour’s drive.

Great walking area through WWF protected areas around the hamlet or near two hilltop monasteries within an hour's drive. Tennis and riding within 10 minutes. Hot air ballooning over the crete senese, also a great area for mountain biking.
