Facing south over a valley of olive groves, fields and woodlands, Scopeto is a delightful stone farmhouse in a gloriously rural setting east of Cortona. Indoor and outdoor dining areas on the ground floor take advantage of the lovely views and open into a large, bright and modern kitchen that is perfect for preparing the fresh foods gleaned from local markets. On the second floor, decorated in a cheerfully elegant blend of English and Italian antiques, a pretty sitting room provides a cosy retreat for rainy days and cool evenings with a further two sitting rooms on the ground and top floor. Modern Travertine bathrooms, two with a Victorian free standing bath tub. A private pool is set on a stone terrace below the house, where loungers enable the less motivated to survey the valley without moving an inch. Landscaped garden and yoga deck for twenty people. |
