Overview
Perched on a hilltop with stunning views of the valley below, watch towers and dotted hamlets between Orvieto and lake Bolsena. Castiglione in Teverina was once an Etruscan settlement which over the centuries grew from a castle into a small village, with a late 15th century baptistery and a wine museum. Orvieto further afield with its Duomo and Lago di Bolsena can both be reached in about 30 minutes. Ripa Bianca has been restored and converted into a pretty and private home. Furnished in a simple yet comfortable fashion with a well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. A loggia for al fresco meals is set on one side, just outside the open plan kitchen, and a pergola on the other overlooking the private solar heated pool with loungers and an umbrella with wonderful views of the countryside. |
