Overview Poggio ai Cigni ('Hill of Swans') is a delightful villa located down a long white road on a hilltop facing the beautiful city of Orvieto. The house and its adjacent annex are built from the local volcanic rock, tufo, with interiors comfortably furnished in a rustic style with terracotta floors. A large living room with a high, beamed ceiling and an open fireplace provides a cosy spot for relaxing in the evening or on cool days. Two pretty loggias extend the living space to the outdoors with sitting and dining areas that face the pool and the lovely views beyond. The swimming pool is amply supplied with umbrellas and loungers. Poggio ai Cigni is a particularly peaceful spot that provides an excellent base for exploring central Umbria and northern Lazio.
