Set in an old hamlet in the hilly countryside just to the south of Florence, Podere dei Ciliegi is a charming little stone house that has been very nicely restored and updated. The original beamed ceilings and an enormous fireplace have been preserved and matched with terracotta floors and nice antique furnishings. The kitchen and dining area feature an arched glass doorway that opens into a pretty garden with a terraced pool and a small grove of bamboo. The historic centre of Florence is only minutes away, and the wonderful vineyards and villages of Chianti lie a short drive to the south.
