Overview
At a stone’s throw from Florence, Podere Nizzano occupies the larger wing of a spacious and very comfortable country home within a substantial garden. The residence has been just been renovated and redecorated in a very tasteful ‘classic contemporary’ style, with an emphasis on quality and light. On the ground level, the living areas – including a long and very bright living room and a lovely traditional kitchen - open to terraces and to a private garden studded with olive trees. The air-conditioned bedrooms, with their high, beamed ceilings, enjoy views of vineyards and Tuscany’s famous rolling hills from the first floor. At the edge of the garden, a swimming pool is set on a lawned terrace with a loggia for shade.
The owner of the property, who lives in the other wing of the house, has an entirely separate entrance, parking area and outdoor space. This location, just to the south of Florence, provides the perfect balance between city and country, and is an ideal base for touring the whole of Tuscany, including the neighbouring Chianti wine region. |
