Le Pianore & Maladina are made up of three classic stone farmhouses which sit high on the western flanks of Monte Amiata overlooking a vast stretch of the Val d'Orcia. While packed with traditional Tuscan features and charm, the houses are thoroughly modern in terms of fittings and function. With an eye to year-round use, large glass doors open to the garden for the summer while open fireplaces bring warmth and cheer to reading nooks and dining areas in cooler seasons. The main houses, Le Pianore sits on a promontory enjoying woderful views of the estate's 400 acres. It enjoys a large garden with loggias and pergolas for lounging and alfresco meals. A lawn skirts the houses and leads down to a large swimming pool that shares it stone terrace with umbrellas and comfortable loungers. The smaller, but just as pretty Maladina is set on the other side of the estate's valley, a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. This is a very peaceful property with wonderful opportunities for walking and horseback riding at the doorstep.
