Location
Deep in the Salento, 10 minutes from the white beaches at Torre San Giovanni and a little less from the village of Taurisano. The island port of Gallipoli on the Ionian coast is a 30-minute drive and Lecce, Puglia’s Baroque centrepiece, is reached in under 1 hour. Medieval Otranto on the Adriatic shore, 40 minutes, offers a castle and a mosaic-floored 12C cathedral. Santa Maria di Leuca, at the southern tip of Puglia, 30 minutes, is a must for lunch by the sea.

The casettas are set below the main house with a shared swimming pool, 6 x 12m/20 x 40 feet. A beautiful lawned garden studded with the ancient olive trees for which Puglia is famous slopes down between them.
