A beautiful roads winds 17km/11 miles up to the dramatically-sited monastery of La Verna, where St. Francis of Assisi received the stigmata. 7km/4 miles north of Rassina is Bibbiena, a peaceful hill town, with pretty fortified Poppi another 7km/4 miles beyond. To the south is Arezzo, 25km/15 miles, with its spectacular Piazza Grande and monthly antiques market.

Parking for four cars.
