Overview
Tucked against a protected forest area, Le Casaline is a beautifully restored stone farmhouse in the classic Tuscan style. The chestnut beams, handmade terracotta ceilings and floors and the enormous stone fireplace all hail back to an era of honest craftsmanship. The furnishings have been chosen to match and contrast, from soft couches and kilims to contemporary lighting and thoroughly modern fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms. Broad glassed doors lead to a wisteria-draped pergola that serves as an outdoor dining area, and to a loggia furnishing for lounging in the shade. The windows overlook a landscape of forested hills and open pastures, with the illuminated bell tower of the neighboring village in full view at night. Below the house, a swimming pool is set into a stone terrace at the base of the garden.
