The scenery here is of wooded hills studded with splendid medieval fortifications. Niccone, 4km/2 miles, provides the nearest shops to the property, with a better selection at Umbertide, 9km/6 miles. Montone, 20 minutes to the east, is a lovely hill town on the way to the spectacular pink city of Gubbio, 45 minutes. To the north is Citta di Castello, 30 minutes, with its galleries and palaces; to the west is hilltop Cortona, 30 minutes, a pleasant maze of cobbled streets, and to the south is Perugia, 1 hour, with its magnificent architecture and eclectic cultural programme.

The property is managed by the owner, who lives in Rome and speaks English fluently. The staff/manager that come with the house do not reside in the property, in the evenings after preparing and serving dinner they leave this stunning property only to return in the morning to prepare breakfast.She is very responsive to special requests and highly experienced in staging large-scale events.
