Overview Greppolischieto is a beautiful 13th century fortified hamlet which, from its hilltop position, commands stunning views of the deep valleys, rolling hills and castles along the Tuscan-Umbrian border. La Canonica is built right into the tiny hamlet's intact perimeter walls, with one side facing its narrow cobbled streets, arched openings and tiny squares, and the other overlooking the property's private walled garden and the hills beyond. The house has been very carefully restored around the original beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, and fitted with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Ground floor living areas open out to the garden and to a large pergola with sitting and dining areas. The swimming pool is set on a grassed terrace in the garden and well supplied with loungers from which to contemplate the view.
