On the south-western coast of Sicily, 10 minutes from Selinunte and a string of white beaches. The nearest shops are at Castelvetrano, 3km/2 miles. An excellent motorway runs between Castelvetrano and Palermo, 1 hour to the centre, a wonderful city for touring with some very unusual sights. There are two worthwhile detours on the way: the little solitary temple of Segesta and Monreale, for a look at its mosaic-encrusted Duomo. Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples lies about 100km/62 miles to the east.

Assistance is provided locally by the property's extremely kind caretaker who lives in a separate house on the next estate with his family. He speaks a little English and fluent German; his son speaks English beautifully. Services included in the rental fee, and optional services available, are noted under Price and Availability.
