Overview The land surrounding Il Verone has belonged to the same Florentine family for seven centuries. It was a daughter of this family, Beatrice, who provided the inspiration for much of Dante Allighieri's life and work, including the Divine Comedy. Originally constructed as a hunting lodge, Il Verone has recently been restored and divided into two separate residences; the first floor of the building, which boasts stunning views of Florence, is reserved for our exclusive use. The interior is very nicely furnished, with a bright and charming kitchen and new bathrooms. A sunny terrace with a summer kitchen and barbeque just above the house offers a splendid setting for al fresco meals. A short walk uphill through the garden brings you to a swimming pool set in the midst of an olive grove with extraordinary vistas over the Florentine hills and of the city itself.
