At the western edge of the Chianti Classico region, 2km/1 mile from San Casciano in Val di Pesa which boasts shops and restaurants. A 10-minute drive from the Certosa di Galluzzo, an active Cistercian monastery. In 20 minutes you can be on the Chiantigiana, the famous ‘wine road', or in the centre of Florence (outside rush hour). To the south lie the wine-soaked villages of Tavernelle- and Barberino-Val d’Elsa, as well as San Gimignano.

A lovely cottage garden bordered by vineyards and olive groves. The swimming pool, 6 x 12m/20 x 39 feet, is set in a grove about 40m/50 yards from the house enjoying beautiful views. Two loggias for dining and lounging. The owner has a little shop on the estate, selling their Olive oil and wine to those that might be staying at Il Giogo or in La Casa Vecchia.

Tennis is available within 10 minutes’ drive, top riding stables within 15 minutes and 18-hole golf within 20 minutes at Cercolo Golf dell'Ugolino in Grassina. Internet caffè at San Casciano in Val di Pesa, 2km/1mile.
