Overview
Il Fienile is traditional stone farmhouse with some delightful decorative touches. Nestled against a terraced hillside midway between Lake Trasimeno and Orvieto, the house's beautiful old beamed ceilings and terracotta floors are complemented by hand-painted wall finishes, lovely oriental carpets and unusual antiques. Al fresco meals can be served in the airy loggia along one side of the house or in the romantic old barn near the kitchen. Those with a serious yen for the outdoors can watch the stars from a magnificent Indian bedstead set outside on a terrace. A well-kept garden surrounds the house and leads up to the swimming pool, where loungers are positioned to capture glorious views of the countryside and a pergola offers a shady retreat. |
