Overview
ll Fico is a charming stone farmhouse set in the lush Carpini Valley of northern Umbria, between the two medieval cities of Citta di Castello and Umbertide. Delightfully restored, the house has retained its original beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, its old fireplace and a beautiful archway leading into the refurbished kitchen. Just outside the kitchen a pretty dining loggia offers the perfect setting for al fresco meals. The swimming pool faces the house, surrounded by a nicely maintained garden with lovely old trees, including the ancient fig for which the property is named. This is an ideal property for those who like to stay off the beaten track, but not too far: the area offers wonderful opportunities for exploring on foot, as well as an endless array of interesting sights within a short drive.
