Overview
This charming stone farmhouse, dating from the 16th century and recently restored, sits on a soft hill top enjoying stunning views of the hills and valleys that lead towards Siena. During the restoration the original features and character were preserved, along with large fireplaces. Set at the end of end of a long private drive guaranteeing total privacy, Il Cucolo, is the ideal family retreat. Lawns surround the house and the courtyard offering the ideal location for al fresco meals. The private swimming pool is set just below the courtyard in the perfect position enjoying the sun from early morning until sunset with uninterrupted views of the rolling countryside. For those that insist on leaving this oasis of peace and tranquillity there are many important towns and cities within easy reach, Siena to the west and Chianti to the north. Many villages with charming squares, restaurants and wineries are to be explored, medieval Monte San Savino with an antiques market, dine at the Castello di Gargonza or simply be pampered at the thermal spa’s of Rapolano Terme. |
