Overview
A large and beautiful 18th century farmhouse, the recently restored Il Cortile is set within four hundred acres of private land on the slopes of the Monti del Chianti. A sun-soaked flagstone courtyard is framed by the main house and a delightful guest house, while a shady dining loggia with a barbeque lends itself to long al fresco meals with unforgettable views over the Tuscan hills. The broad lawn leads down towards a paved terrace with a lovely swimming pool, teak loungers for sunbathing and a second loggia for reading or siestas in the shade. Situated at the eastern edge of the Chianti wine-producing area, and midway between Florence and Arezzo, the property could not be better designed and located for a holiday that combines lazy days of dolce far niente with sightseeing in some of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany.
