Il Cipresso di Caspri is a very pretty traditional stone farmhouse that surveys the lush valley of the Arno River from its secluded hillside location. Portions of the building are believed to date back to the 14th century. Inside, tiled floors, beamed ceilings and comfortable furnishings create an interior that is both cool and snug. A spacious living room with a fireplace has large glass doors leading to a loggia with a dining table positioned to capture the spectacular sunsets. Glass doors also lead from the kitchen out to the garden, which slopes down to a terraced pool area. Teak loungers are scattered around the pool for sunbathing and contemplating the breathtaking view, which looks even better at sunset from the hot tub. This is an ideal area for those who enjoy walking, whether along the wooded Pratomagno footpaths or from medieval village to church in the valley.
