It was very well kitted out for home cooking. we didn't need anything which is very unusual for self catering. Also very clean and homely

What a wonderful week total rest and relaxation, just what we needed. Elena and her husband were very kind and always at hand if you had a problem. Every member of staff here at "IL Cerro" take great pride in their work it is wonderful to see and much appreciated. Local restaurant was very good, food amazing and the gelato was truly scrumptious. Everything! The layout is perfect, the pool is a nice size, the beds are comfortable, the gardens have wildly growing herbs and fruits, and the appliances and electronics are new!

We had a wonderfully relaxing week at Il Cerro after a fantastic sightseeing in Rome. We only ventured out to shop eat and enjoy the passing life of San Gemini apart from a visit to Carsulae worth the effort. Thank you to Elena for making us so welcome if only we were staying longer.

Il Cerro has been the most romantic places to stay for "La Luna di Miele" a secluded, peaceful paradise. The moment we arrived we received a warm welcome from Elena and Piero they have been stars and so knowledgeable. To celebrate our first weeks we had Daniela cook for us Amazing! Although we speak no Italian we manage to converse in French but besides the food spoke for itself. We have loved Orvieto, Todi and the crown jewel of Montefalco. San Gemini is a hidden treasure it wonderful to sit and watch local life go by. Arrivederci, grazie mille.

Everything was blooming all across the property and we have enjoyed the peace and tranquillity as opposed to our busy lives in New York. We've especially enjoyed Todi (hint - take the lift up to the top) Orvieto, Assisi,Cortona and Gubbio - don't miss Il Panaro a little road side bar outside Gubbio for the best sandwiches "Torta al Testo". Il Cerro is a great home base from which to see all the beauty of Umbria. Elena and Piero were accommodating and helpful they will take care of your every need. Hope to visit Umbria again soon.

I don't know where Dante found his Paradise but we have found it here at Il Cerro! Everything was perfect from the sunny weather to the well appointed kitchen, the hot tub bubbling beneath shooting stars and Nerina the resident cat, who gifted us with a mouse on our final morning. Many thanks to Elena and Piero, who were the most gracious hosts imaginable. We were late arriving and our cell phone did not work. They had the village watching for us and found us shortly after we pulled into the parking lot. Wonderful sight seeing from the private tour of the Abbey San Niccolo ( San Gemini) to the Uffici and Academia in Florence. Don't miss Marmore waterfalls or the frescoes in Assisi. We were also fortunate to be here for the annual festival of the Corsa all' Anello in Narni. Amazing horse races villagers in medieval dress and Italian flag throwers. Paradise all around. We will miss you Il Cerro.

Il Cerro is a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped villa. Being here has helped us to relax and unwind from our busy city lives. Elena and Piero gave us a wonderful welcome on arrival. They made us feel very much at home. Their knowledge and advise on places to visit was unvaluable!!

What can we say? What words can we use to describe how lucky we feel to have spent two weeks here. Elena and Piero have been wonderful hosts and nothing was to much trouble for them, thank you to everyone for making this such a relaxing time. We have seen shooting stars, eaten some exquisite food and relaxed to such an extend that we can go back to the UK refreshed and ready to take on the world. Il Cerro is a wonderful retreat a very special place, where the pace of modern life seems a million miles away. Fingers crossed we will visit again.

It was totally peaceful, away from everyone - just the relaxing experience we needed. It was a home from home with everything you could possibly want, even down to CDs for our enjoyment. My overriding memory is of Vivaldi's Four Seasons wafting through the air as we looked over the grounds and enjoyed the fantastic weather!
