Overview
I Poggi is a rambling stone farmhouse that has been restored with tremendous attention to detail and decorated with a great deal of warmth and charm. Its hillside setting affords stunning views stretching from Monte Amiata across to the islands of Elba and Montecristo off the coast. Inside, the traditional beamed ceilings and terracotta floors are highlighted by lovely antiques and walls painted in bright hues. A series of paved terraces descends the hillside below the house, furnished either with tables and chairs for al fresco meals or comfortable loungers for afternoons in the sunshine. Set on one of these terraces is a stunning swimming pool with an infinity edge that can be lit at night. The property lies within a working farm estate and is surrounded with acres of farmlands, home to a magnificent herd of long-horned Maremma cattle. |
