Overview
Gli Ulivi is set on a terraced hillside near Sorrento and faces the sea with superb views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The interior is comfortably furnished in very good taste, centering on a large living room that leads out to a lovely terrace furnished with a table and barbeque for alfresco meals. A very well kept garden of olive trees and rockeries leads up to the property’s pièce de resistance, a sunny terrace with a small pool that seems to float above the Bay of Naples. The shops and restaurants of Vico Equense are within walking distance, as is a pretty pebble beach, although both are accessed by several flights of steps. This is an ideal property for non-drivers who don’t mind a steep climb or two, as a train service connects Vico Equense to the area’s key sites, including Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. For drivers there is parking in a garage below the villa with a lift up to the house.
