A pretty 15th century stone farmhouse, Collevento Le Velette and its ten acres of lawns, meadows and olive groves occupy their own hilltop facing Orvieto, one of Italy's loveliest towns. Terracotta floors and arched or beamed ceilings set the tone for the interior, which is furnished with an attractive blend of antiques and modern pieces. The bedrooms are nicely decorated, each with a private bathroom, and the kitchen, although small, is very well equipped. Ground floor rooms have double doors leading out to the garden and terrace where a shaded table positioned for the view provides an ideal spot for al fresco meals. Below the house, at the edge of the lawn, a large swimming pool shares a terrace with a loggia for shade and loungers for admiring fantastic views of rolling hills and beautiful countryside.
