Casa di Tramito 'The House Along the Way', was built in the 19th century as a hunting lodge for the large Tramito estate. Nestled against a wooded hillside north of Lucca, the house has been beautifully renovated as a country home and landscaped to take advantage of sensational views over the valley. The interior is warm and welcoming with tasteful furnishings throughout. A swimming pool has been set into a terracotta terrace adjoining the house and supplied with loungers for sunbathing. Overlooking the pool and the valley is a large dining loggia for al fresco meals. An ideal area for keen walkers, the low mountains of the Alpi Apuane are known for their flowers and wildlife and lovely streams run through the estate itself, many spanned by stone bridges or gurgling into pretty grottoes.
