In the southern part of the Chianti Classico wine-producing region, just off the Chiantigiana road, 5km/3 miles from the pretty village of Vagliagli or 6km/4 miles from the larger town of Quercegrossa. 20 minutes’ drive will carry you up to Castellina-in-Chianti, a picture-perfect hill town, or south to Siena for a look at its stunning Campo. Medieval San Gimignano and the historic centre of Florence can both be reached in less than 1 hour.
