Overview
With wonderful views of mountains and sea, Casa Leopoldo is a spacious country home perched on a Ligurian hillside just above the pretty village of Castiglione Chiavarese. The building’s traditional façade, painted in a warm yellow hue, conceals very tastefully renovated interiors and a garden that has been landscaped to match. An appreciation for clean lines, natural materials and intelligent, user-friendly design are evident throughout. The ground level is entirely taken up by a large and bright room divided by a two-sided fireplace into a living area and a generous eat-in kitchen. French doors open to terraces facing in different directions to capture the sun at any time of day, all furnishing for lounging and outdoor dining. One of these sports an infinity-edged pool bordered on one side by wooden decking for sunbathing. The bedrooms are distributed between the first and second floors, where two additional sitting rooms are ideal for quieter pursuits. Castiglione Chiavarese is within walking distance, albeit along a steep track, and several coastal villages with good swimming beaches are less than 15 minutes away by car. |
